Crossing the Line
Crossing the line from Enhancement of student learning to Transformation of student learning is where the major shift occurs in the SAMR model. This is where the student goes from a consumer to a creator.
We often ask ourselves:
Does the use of student technology allow the creation of an artifact that displays their thinking?
If the answer to this question is yes, then chances are they are transforming their learning with technology.
As you have probably noticed, the Redefinition piece of SAMR is to make student learning a "Global" event. Students reach outside of the school building walls and communicate with the community, other cities, or countries.
